Purpose

Did you know that you are created with a purpose?
Do you know your purpose?
I Have a Purpose
You are not the only person to have ever inquired about their purpose. If you look online, you will find that it is often considered a profound pursuit. Some believe that they make their own purpose and others think that they somehow fulfill an inescapable purpose that is brought to fruition by their every action both intended and unintended. And others think that their is no possible way to know what your purpose might be. Who's right? It is funny that we often overlook the most obvious things in life. When you go outside you look around and you see purpose all around you. Plants and animals coming together with the elements and seasons to create life. Most of us are aware that animals produce carbon dioxide and need oxygen and plants make oxygen and need carbon dioxide. Each has a purpose to fulfill in the cycles of life. It is no wonder that the Bible states that God created each thing with a purpose. It is almost comical that some people deny the existence of God. Not only do all the things that we see have to work together to maintain life, but also the things we can't see. Consider matter and energy, yes that stuff that everything is made of. You cannot create matter or energy. But there sure is a lot of it. It had to come from somewhere. A big bang? Oh wait whatever went bang would have to be matter and energy first. So the only logical solution is that the universe was formed by something, or someone, not bound by the laws of the universe. Hmmm who could that be? Well the general consensus is that the creator of the Universe is God. The Bible, gives credit of the creation to God. So God makes all the matter and energy in the universe. Well I am glad that He didn't make all of the matter the same. I don't think life would work if everything were made of the same atoms. it would kind of be like life coming from Legos. But instead we have atoms that can join together in such a manner that allows for life to exist. This matter comes together in such a complex way to create life that it is a testimony to the existence of God. Some blindly believe that life can spring up from inorganic matter. There is no evidence of that ever happening. And, no laboratory has ever made life from inorganic materials. But that does not even consider the fact that the very matter that everything is made of actually can come together to make life. So, we see intelligent design not only in the existence of life but also in the existence of the matter that makes life possible. So living plants and animals have purpose. Elements have purpose. Energy has purpose. The Bible has it right. Everything has purpose, even you.
So what is my purpose?
The same Bible that says you have purpose lays out what your general purpose and teaches how to discover your more specific purpose. Yes, the very purpose that you were created to fulfill and why that is so very important. Let's start with general purpose.
